The whole Netherlands is locked down and turn Amsterdam into a (almost) ghost town. Please stay home, practise social distancing and hopefully everything can get back to normal soon.

I captured this short of Amsterdam’s beautiful Waterways and bridges while taking a canal tour. I loved the straight aways that were full of bridges upon bridges! The warm colors and reflective water were incredible.

I’ve been to Amsterdam with some friends. We had lots of fun, not just because of the weed. So at the last evening we went back to our hotel and on the way to the Central Station i took this last shot.

This is a typical Amsterdam sight that never bores. Especially in summer when the trees cover the canals making it feel cosy and village-like. Just walk the streets and enjoy the great views.

Walking home after deciding to abandon my bicycle due to the severe snowfall in Amsterdam today, I saw the city in an entirely different light. The city’s first real taste of snow this season has not disappointed and I feel this picturesque town is even more magical covered with a layer of the white stuff. It does a great job of keeping the tourists at bay, too.

Amsterdam is a bright city full of life that is to say when it’s not raining. It seems to truly be one of the global hubs where when you walk the streets you will definitely notice the prevalence of cultural variety. Oh and it’s also quite pretty.

When I arrived in Amsterdam I grabbed my camera and threw it over my shoulder and went out to explore by bike. after about a hour of riding and taking pictures I stopped at this bridge to look around and the bike leaning on the bridge railed seemed iconic in its summation of the Dutch lifestyle.

These pretty houses are located near the central station of Amsterdam in a street we call the ‘Damrak’. They are centuries old, but somehow remain standing even though some have sagged a bit. What you see here is actually the back of the houses, where it was easy for ships to reach the storages. When passing here I always take a minute to admire these buildings.

Right before I went on a walk though Amsterdam, practicing street style photography, the streets looked like this. Luckily, the sun came out right after.

During the COVID-19/Corona pandemic, the busiest city squares can be desolated. This man tried to capture the silence, and his silhouette in the shadow shows the magnitude of the empty space he's in.

We were lucky to be in Amsterdam during one of the most beautiful weeks there. The Sir A’dam Hotel was an experience on its own, from the disco elevator to an actual club below ground it was a total delight. To top it off, it had some unique brutalist architecture. After my girlfriend found some jumpsuits at the shops, we decided to snap a determined look picture!

The futuristic white building in the back is the Eye museum in Amsterdam. The high tower on the right you could dine in the top roof restaurant with a beautiful view of Amsterdam.

My new home city, Amsterdam. I moved here with my wife 1 1/2 years ago. I cycle past this spot daily for work, but being in such a picturesque city, it’s easy to miss got shots the first (hundred) times you see it.

The Snow Show Pt. 2: Still in the park, started snowing again - heavily. First time shooting during snowfall, quite an experience. When I saw the Autumn colors blend with the whites of the Winter, I knew it was worth the stay.

Taken one evening in early spring. After a wet grey day the cloud melted away just before sunset. Since it was also full moon, I went to Zaanse Schans (Netherlanfs) to get some shots of moon and windmills. Instead, I worked on the sunset. This was taken just after sunset with the sun still illuninating the underside of the clouds.

Naarden-Vesting is a medieval fort located not too far from Amsterdam in the Netherlands. It’s one of my favourite spots to take my Inspire up.
